Sex and gender sensitive medicine across the life span/Introduction

Patient-oriented health care means that symptoms and complaints must be assessed in relation to the individual life situation. The respective life situation differs not only between individuals, but also intra-individually with regard to the different phases of life. Over the life span, men and women differ in their biological and social development and often face different health challenges.
